I can relate but you can't anticipate or plan failure of everything....it will drive you nuts.

I always tell people that have over 100,000 miles and have not changed their fuel pump to keep one in the trunk.

I actually had that "feeling" around 170k-ish miles that I should probably order a replacement because I didn't want to be stranded. Me being me, I kept the new one in my trunk until mine failed because I wanted to get my money's worth. It ended up lasting until 191k miles, at which point I pulled into a rest area, had my friend bring me to league, and we went back afterwards and replaced that bad boy. Win.

It's not the car you drive, it's how you drive it.

Not bad! I never do this, knowing myself it'd fail in the middle of nowhere the day I needed to clear out the trunk to make space for luggage lol.

BP experienced the failed fuel pump scenario first hand with me when mine failed on the ///M a few years ago. We were on the Garden State Parkway and it sucked.....

Whatever you do....try to never fail on any parkway beccause you'll most likely be at the mercy of the contract towing services and they will gouge the crap out of your wallet....12 mile towing to the nearest indy shop I knew of cost $300 that day.....,

Good thing you had connections at that shop; they took care of you immediately.

    Shawn's 04 IR/Alc/6MT Red Rehab Project

Installed AL bi-xenon headlights today. Got the fogs working and replaced shift knob with an illuminated one.
