I tried finding more info on this but there's nothing conclusive.

Touchless washes do not have any rails to clear. You drive in and the machine works around your car.
BP, I'll probably only go back for emergency situations like this...ill take the hit once or twice rather than let the birdshit sit on there till I get a chance to do my own wash which is God knows when with work and the weather and all...

Not sure what you mean by "spinny spinny ones"...

When I went last year, I only used it very sparingly, when the car was completely loaded with salt. I would go about 2 months at a clip without washing the car, and when I did, I'd go to the touchless. It shouldn't be too bad if you don't go there often.

Someone seriously needs to start a unique business; a car wash with DIY, closable bays that have heat. Charge a little more than a regular car wash, people will still come.

It's not the car you drive, it's how you drive it.

LOL I mean the full body contact washes. The ones that actually take the crap off the car and make it clean. I feel spinny spinny now being up for 24 hours and it's not over yet. Next flight, Central America!

Oh... those are terrible for your clearcoat as well!

I so wish there was some kind of magic mixture that gets applied and removes everything from the paint/clearcoat without any physical contact needed. [sigh]
    Too bad I guess...

Mobil 1 0w-40 is what most people run from wally world.

    Good list though

But be careful with those magnetic plugs. Some people had issues with them.

They break and the threaded portion stays in the pan. Don't buy ecs.
