After four months of being a dirty mess, I got around to cleaning her.

Washed and waxed, wheels removed and detailed, suspension cleaned, calipers cleaned, trim restored, and tires shined. Interior is tomorrow.

Sneak peek of something to come in a few minutes.

Well, did it a couple days ago. Replaced one of the vacuum lines on the X that is known for cracking and causing the thing to run like poop. Seems to happen around 30K miles or so, and we're at 36K, so I replaced it as part of preventative measure. Had to remove all of the engine plastics to get to it, so you can see just what the S63 looks like, sorta.

I also tore the center console apart to repair one of the rear seat vent things (notice the missing slider on the left side vent)... The pic below showed some of the progress.

Nice work. I need to do this to mine soon. I think I'll be washing it tomorrow since I have the day off. Can't say I'll be doing the full detail since my body isn't up to the task just yet.

    Thanks!

I haven't been able to determine where it's coming in from, I definitely don't hear or see any dripping. A BMW tech suggested the vapor barrier(s) in the doors could be the culprit too.

Replaced my HID bulbs with 4500K bulbs from DDM. Wasn't expecting a whole lot at $25 for the pair, but I'm really liking them. Plus they apparently have a lifetime warranty.
I guess I didn't realize how dim the originals had become. The 4500K temp looked a little yellow at first, but after breaking them in a bit they're doing great. It's a very white color, with less blue than the phillips bulbs I took out. About 75% of my commute these days is in the dark, so this should be a big improvement. Feels like the brights are on all the time!
