The shop used llumar film. Comes with a lifetime warranty. Paid $225 for install.

I think it looks fantastic. I wish I had done it earlier.

John- Sorry if you stated this before and I didn't catch it, what product(s) do you use on your paint? Although mine is not black, I have owned black cars and understand the difficulty in making them like glass. I figure if its good enough to do that to your black it should more than ample for my silbergrau girl.
    Thanks!

Geoff, not much. Absolutely there are others who can provide way better detail (no pun intended ) and info on products. I just do what works for me. Having dealt with different black cars for years it's really difficult to keep swirls down. Being in SoCal I wash and wax as little as possible as I don't have to deal with weather as much. I use a Turtle Wax for black cars when I do, and every so often I use a McGuire's carnauba wax. That's it. I keep it simple.

I have had good luck with Meguiars, that's actually what I've used in the past on my black cars. Just wanted to make sure there wasn't some special "uncle Augustus' wax" for BMW's out there that I wasn't aware of. Thanks for the share man. :-)

Hey I'm uncle august (wife's bro just had a kid yesterday). Maybe I should make wax too.

Geoff that's probably good enough. If you like bmw specific wax try Swissvax. It's $$$ tho. I use dodo juice which also cleans paint, xxx from chemical guys for a nice hard wax and jet seal or blitz (also Chem guys) as a sealant.

The underside of the wagon is identical to sedan. So, you either go with custom or InsidePerformance.de or remove spare tire well (completely) and world in m3 subfloor or custom. If you use m3 part you get all the mounting points for exhaust and charcoal canister etc

    I brought her home

Some of you know I bought SoarinZHP's car on Saturday Feb-21. For more than a week, the car stayed at my parents' house because I didn't have license plates or registration for her. Well, yesterday I went to the DMV and got things in order. Now I can drive without worries. Welcome home, ZHP !
