okay, i thought you said "really?" in terms of having, personally, a bad experience with them on your M.

I put them on my ZHP about 10k miles ago. I have the Swift Spring upgrade and have ZERO complaints.
What is the difference with the "Swift Spring" upgrade?

When I ordered my set for my '03 ZHP from Ray (smilez) they came labeled for an e46 M3.
"E46 M and non M are the same kit. We send the M now because the spring rates work better with both M and non M versions. The only difference is the 12k rear spring as opposed to the 10k rear spring on the I-02 non-M kit.
Regards,
Taylor"
This was the message Ray received after asking if it was the correct set for my car.
