Got the Control Arm, FCABs (Z4M), sway bar links, bushings, tie rod assemblies (inner and outer) and steering coupler replaced today. Oh and alignment after that. It drives so much better now!

Butyl tape is what the factory uses... it sticks instantly. On my car I just used Kpro's hello kitty duct tape to seal... because I just don't care
hahaha, nice. So the butyl tape should stick ok to both the old butyl tape on the door as well as the barriers?
Thanks! Did you attempt to clean off the old before putting on the new? Had any issues since re-sealing? I have prime, so this is getting ordered now!

I don't think so. As you may know the OE stuff can be a bit tricky to get off, especially in colder temps. Colin may have a leak in his passenger's door, but I have not been able to confirm what is causing the wet floor. I plan to pull that door card and reapply some more of this stuff. None of the other doors I've done have had any issues. Just use a moderate amount and you should be fine. I don't think it's that important to remove all of the original.
