Did my first one when I moved from ME to HI and at 20, thought it would be "the last chance to make the drive." LOL. Did it 14 more times (3x in one summer). A few on the clock, too... Saw some interesting sights, ate some great food (and bad food), shared a drink with fun people and even more weird ones. A drunk bartender in Co Springs thinking it was totally normal not to know how to mix a drink and let raccoons eat Fritos off the bar...
A few traffic stops, "I have been getting reports about you for 30 miles, it took me 5 miles to catch you." But, no accidents. Once very lucky not to get stopped in UT.
Only broke down a few times and once had to have parts airlifted in to get us on the road the next day.
Now I am getting the itch... Been 6 years since I did a road trip like that.
