Well got Sect 1 installed but now one of my Pre Cat O2 Sensor wires is too short! Can I swap it with the other Pre Cat O2 Sensor as long as I keep the Banks correct? This install is a real kick in the nuts!
Wait what? How is the precat wire too short? It's like less than 2' from the valve cover to the pre cat on the header.

I was able to connect it. I had it attached to the retaining clip on the bell housing instead of the heat shield so it made it about 2" shorter going that route. Calling it a night.

Ya I said the same thing about 17 times. The only difference is I couldn't turn back beings it was all apart. I spent several days so far working on it. I bet I'm easily 20+ hours into this nightmare. It better sound bad ass!

Yea it is time consuming for sure. Don't say I didn't warn you. Bet you'd pay the $250 if you could go back in time. Oh and it'll be worth it...plus you'll have done the labor so it'll sound that much sweeter.

I remember you saying that and YES I sure would! I did a bunch of other things while I was installing the headers like the CPV and Spark Plugs etc. Oh and I had to unbolt the rear header last night to get the Sect 1 to line up. So frustrating! Now both the header pipes touch right before the flanges, is this OK?

    Lol

Very proud of you hitting this head on Gary. It's almost more rewarding knowing you did it all yourself...

    Almost

Hmmm not sure about that actually. Let me ask my guy at Bimmerbrakes about it.

Glad to see you worked thru the install Gary! In the end you will be glad it's over and that you did this yourself. I'm sure the car will sound awesome! Can't wait to hear your thoughts

The headers and Sect 1 are done! Fired it up last night and it sounds great! What a difference. Today I will be installing the SCZA Muffler. I will make some videos, before SCZA and with the SCZA. Can't wait to hear the difference.

It does feel good doing it yourself, knowing how everything works and what's what etc. this project was the longest, most frustrating I've ever done. I've installed headers on both my trucks, full exhaust including a downpipe on my 2500HD and this by far was the biggest PITA ever. Glad to see the end is near.
