I was the same 6 months ago but I have started to mod and do my own work on the car. Now the car feels more special to me.
Also driving my GF's TDI also helped me appreciate the ZHP.

Don't have a sprint booster but I do know exactly what your talking about. My brother in law has it in his zhp . You can tell the difference when I driving with it . That when I hop on my car is sluggish . And disappointing to drive .
