Good idea. I just did the same for my 03. I saw them the other day and they look horrible. A color very close to that of piss.

Finally got my bike rack mounting screws. Must be hand forged by Hans in the Black Forest as it took about 4 months to get them.

Also hit a piece of debris on the DC beltway last night... :-(

Anyone got a spare rocker panel?

+1. My first e46 (1999 323i) came with some dents on the hood, close to the roundel, likely created by debris.

I had that on my blue car--self inflicted... Closed the garage door with hood open and car on jack-stands

Lots of debris. While in freeway traffic, I saw a large object go airborne as if a plastic bag blown skyward by an up draft. Still no idea what it was, but impacted like a really heavy bar mat, taking out pass kidney and smashing flat on my windshield. Buuuumer

Yep. In the second before impact I went through all options to avoid without causing further damage.... I've prided myself in avoiding accidents, sometimes thanks to BMW..LOL. BUT...alas...nope. Nuttin. I just kept saying "Are you serious?" The hematite grilles were less than 2 months old.
