wow that is very interesting. Solving or reducing our oil consumption issue could be as simple as a new vacuum tube. Can whoever is going to do this do a write up (I know its simple but I like pictures) on the size and length that worked? We probably need a new thread just for this fix so we can start comparing results anyway.

I plan on doing the o2pilot mod but not sure when. Will write a diy when I do it if someone else doesn't before me...

I'm curious if the ZHP has that second vacuum nipple in use as the video mentioned since our cars don't have the muffler with the flap in it.

cool video, thanks san for finding it. it 'confirms' what i was thinking @ 9:00 in the video re: increasing vacuum.

my issue with the vacuum line addition to the CCV is that the vacuum level is unrestricted - also, what about the possibility of sucking oil up out of the pan if the bottom cyclone area of the CCV is clogged?

this is why i prefer my setup. i know where everything is going.

Temporarily at least il try the o2pilot mod and see if it helps with oil consumption... if it does then I know the culprit and I will eventually get a catch can...

yep, that would help. however, without a PCV you might notice weird idle issues. i did before i installed one.
