What did you do for your ZHP/ BMW / MINI today? #2

31 miles to work today, just fine.

It was running fine before, but kept getting SES light and too rich codes.

Hmm I've had some rich codes and stumbling on startup, but runs great otherwise. Didn't know the O2 sensor was a possibility. How did you narrow it down?

I was getting rich codes and everybody said O2 sensors. 145k and original O2 sensors, which is apparently is quite long. No other issues for me.

My dad has an E61 N52 that has had SES light and really rough idle at start up. Two mechanics told him O2 sensors. Not sure how relatable that is for our M54s, just throwing that out for ya, since it sounds like similar symptoms.

Coded in a smaller temperature buffer for the temperature gauge, so it displays more truly.

Definitely. It doesn't get driven much in the snow. When the cold hits next week I'll just park it back it back in the garage

Installed new (to me) LCM with 4.5 SW (thanks to Terra) and now I have 5 blinks!!

Replaced the headlight seals and BMWPerformance air filter. I found a microgard filter for $8 at oreillys but it doesn't fit perfect so I'll have to stop in and swap one out.

I still really like the look of those wheels.

I wish I could take credit for them. The previous owner put them on. I have always wanted a set but could never find any. A 330ci with a set was for sale locally a few years ago but he wouldn't separate ☹️

That's great work. I replaced mine late last year but did not take out the full headlight assemblies. I just popped out the headlight lenses and swapped the seals.
