That was interesting on the oils part (interior cleaning will lead to dirty windows).
Looks like I'll be doing that cleaning in a few months. Windows still looked a bit dirty when fogged up.

Armrest-delete and lower quarter window seal arrived today. I'll tackle the upper and lower seals this weekend. I'll try to document the upper seal process for those who asked questions about it.

Please do. I'm sure at some point I'll need to do it for my coupe.

What did you do for your ZHP/ BMW / MINI today? #2

Went to the local BMW Sterling dealership today. They installed the new driver side airbag from the recall. While they were in there, I had them take a look around and they confirmed what another shop had found:

    1. One Torn engine mount
    2. Worn out control arm bushings

And unfortunately, the found my oil pan was leaking (but not too badly) and recommended new Gasket. That's a lot of labor. They offered to do all three jobs for $1200 plus parts for the control arms bushings and engine mounts that I could provide.

I'm going to hold off on all this work for now except the control arm bushings which I'll be doing in a few weeks with the new suspension parts I bought.

That price is less than I would expect actually.

That seems pretty reasonable for a dealership. How much are parts?

Next time you are under the car, you can attempt to tighten the oil pan bolts slightly to slow down the leak. But eventually you will end up replacing the oil pan gasket.

Engine mounts are super easy to replace at that time as well with E46 M3 mounts.

IIRC I did this job in my driveway back in 2014 and will be doing the oil pan gasket on the wifes car this summer. I even got the engine cross brace tool to do this job

But $1200 is on the lower side of the cost I seen to replace an oil pan gasket and mounts.

I went to my indy mechanic and asked if there was a way to code my 2005 ZHP for daytime running lights. He plugged in his computer and sure enough, was able to activate my DRLs ... and at no charge. I also spent a bunch of time detailing the interior...next, I need to wash the outside!

    Probably check trans mounts too.

Go with M3 mounts. They supposedly last longer.
