I just ordered a replacement for my 9 year old battery. PepBoys (I have no affiliation with them) has a promo code for the Bosch Platinum Series AGM Battery Size H7/L4/94R 838845 $219.99 with $77 off promo code =$142.99, then a $30 mail in rebate.

Here's the link. It shows both lead and AGM's with a promo:

    https://www.pepboys.com/parts/batter...03.0L%2520DOHC

So net cost is $112.99! Seemed to good to pass up

Tell me about it. That's the sound my heart made when I saw it yesterday. The only thing I can think is that someone was making a 3 pt turn on thanksgiving and backed up a bit too far. In fact I can feel a slight shimmy in the wheel under breaking. Going to try and get an alignment tomorrow after outing on my winters.

Can I get some feedback from members on this? I found a few OG fenders from various e46 3 series sedans through internet parts sites. Prices of them vary from $70-300. What is the overall feeling about picking on up? How off do you think the paint will be?

oclvframe - it got even better. I posted this on the Deal Thread yesterday:

Got to my local Pep Boys only to have them tell me that their online stock count was wrong and they didn't have it! Hey - I've already got my battery out and it's with me! Grrrrrrrrr.......... I asked them to check other stores, and they found one 20 miles away, so I drove there angrily........

But now the good news. The other Pep Boys had the battery listed at $195.99, not $219, and with 35% off that ($68.60) got me to $127.39! And there's still the $30 mail in rebate, so $97.39 net! You're results might vary!

Just installed it, car turned over twice as fast, so old battery after 9 years clearly on it's last legs!

A couple of things to note:

    1. Radio came right back on with presets still set after the 2 hour gap with no battery. So confirming no radio code needed
    2. The RED cover over the POS terminal used to snap into 2 holes in the OEM battery. No holes on this battery for it to snap into

6 weeks into owning my ZHP. With all the major purchases done, I got sick of seeing that half empty tool kit from the PO. So today I received the replacement Heyco Pliers, and I went Euro and picked up the warning triangle off eBay. Last missing piece is the screw driver, it shows up Monday. I'll finally feel like I've got a complete car

I just got my car back today from the longest 3.5 month wait ever...at least for me. Subframe is all done, bar is in, skinz are in, painting is done. Today I brought it in for alignment today and then proceeded to put on 110 miles of bliss even though it was totally dumping rain.
