  1. And I greatly respect that. You're correct, I do have that "old school” thinking. Thanks for accepting rather than bashing me. To each their own! Anywho, sexy bastard child of a car!

right now my car is a bastard child lol not a ZHP but not an M3.. it is my own creation and it is what it is... its a love it or hate it.

Your custom creation is always going to be, at least to you, leagues better than anything that could be bought in the showroom. That's what we're all here for, right?

The way I see it is that the E46 m3 was (and still is) just one of the all time greatest cars, but the fact that it never came in a sedan body style (as the generations that came before and after it did) doesn't make it perfect. If I had to chose between dropping 50K on the IB over lotus white ZCP that sold on BaT over the weekend, of put 50K into transforming my ZHP into something similar to shawn's..... lets just say id be PMing him ALOT.

I haven’t driven my car in two weeks. I have been enjoying the 535d too much. LOL. I so enjoy having four doors. I wish my M had more doors. It’s just so much better when you have crap to carry and people to pile in the car.

What I really love is having nearly 200ft-lbs of torque more than my M3. Turbo diesel launches and roll ons are just so perfect, easy and compliant in the city. Maybe I’m getting old. Haha.

Man if the E46 M3 was available with the correct number of doors, I never would have had the joy of experiencing the ZHP. Blessing and a curse I guess!

It's not the car you drive, it's how you drive it.

My wife just picked up an e90d...these things make lazy driving VERY appealing.

I didn’t know about the HP but I knew they were absolute torque monsters.

    ccbsecu did this:

On stock turbos, upgraded FMIC, straight pipe exhaust - these cars can make around 380 whp and about 580-600 wtq. Not bad for a diesel car! The best part - with the Emissions deleted, the car can get upwards of 45 mpg's! For the readers benefit - the almost INSTANT torque this car makes is addictive. Not satisfied with this power level - I decided to go all in for a big power. This included:

    Upgraded my turbos (Hybrid)
Snow Meth kit with a 1200 cc nozzle - running a conservative 65/35 Meth/water mix.
    xHP Transmission stage 3 tune
Custom Dyno tune running ~ 45 psi
    Upgraded FMIC, solid piped
Wavetrac LSD, Diff Brace, Power Flex Diff bushings
    Custom CIA
    Bilstein Coilovers
    Modified Injectors
    Hamilton Springs
    HPFP

All of this brought the car to just over 500 whp and ~ 690 wtq....and many hurt feelings at the track and down in 'mexico'.

Well you can be super lazy in eco pro mode which I absolute love since I have fun in the game of hypermiling. The rush of speed runs costs a lot of money with police and towing here. LOL.

But if I do need to GO, no downshift is needed. Half a second of turbo spool and I have over 400ft-lbs at my command. If I’m already at 2,000RPM or higher than torque is near instant and it’ll make your passengers lose grip of their phone if they’re not hanging onto it tightly. Haha

Diesel power delivery is different than my friend’s X5M which I’ve driven around and is much faster than most vehicles on the road. It’s stupid ridiculous and not needed. LOL
