Mine is the 3 spoke heated sport steering wheel. My X5 is the sport package and had the 3 spoke wheel without the heated element when I bought it from Hendricks. I found this one on fleaBay for $80 and just ordered the new trim for it that was worn on both of my wheels from FCP Euro for $60. I had to buy the pinned clockspring as noted above and the wiring was already there on the X5 for the heating element, just folded back and taped over behind the clockspring.
I also need to buy the heated wheel relay and I was all in for just over $200. Came out looking brand new.

Yes sir. I did the same when I did my conversion with the pinned clockspring and M3 SMG wheel. I made my own harness from the back of the clockspring to the sport mode shifter wiring on the tunnel. It is only 2 wires and both send a clamp to GND when up/down is activated.

I'm still waiting on confirmation but apparently electric folding were an option in Europe, though owners aren't that happy about them because they are almost impossible to source and expensive to replace/repair.

EDIT: It was the SA313 option.

Had my ZHP finally do the Airbag Recall with BMW of Vista. Also included was a 19 point check of the ZHP. No problems. And a car wash and interior vacuum and sanitize. Just waited since the recall was performed by a BMW Tech friend and at the same time told sea stories.

Funny story I actually bought a set of 18" Continental DW in Z4/ZHP fitment back in winter with only 1500 miles or so for $150. Had my friend drive them down from CT. Was waiting for a cheap set of ZHP wheels to mount them on and replace, well, this:

But then those two-piece beauties popped up on CL with decent tires already mounted and I couldn't resist. And before someone asks yes I'll get an alignment. Something is clearly VERY WRONG when the fronts wear out like that on a RWD car lol.
