After a little buffing I coated the area with motor oil to give myself some peace of mind. Seeing as I’m working all day tomorrow and every shop in closed on sundays would it be smart to go the route of using rust prevent primer on the area in the mean time? We’re supposed to have sunny ~50F weather for the next few days but I’m still concerned about the exposed metal.
