Title: Clean CA title in hand

Description: this well cared for and compulsively maintained 330Ci in iconic Imolarot 2 with a 6-speed manual transmission features the desirable factory ZHP package which includes upgrades to engine, suspension, steering, drivetrain and appearance. Check out the FAQ at www.zhpmafia.com for more information on the ZHP package. A number of additional and subtle modifications make this particular example a really nice daily driver with no compromises to reliability or driveability. The car comes with two fully functioning key fobs, a full factory toolkit, space-saver spare, owner manuals and copious maintenance and replacement part receipts.

Recent work includes new trim and rubber seals around the rear side windows (the rubber is commonly rotten on 2 door E46’s) and at the base of the windshield. The hood and front & rear bumper covers were repainted to deal with stone chips and scrapes, the mirror covers, roof trim strips and door handles were repainted to address peeling clearcoat. The rest of the paint is in outstanding condition. Two new foglights were fitted since the originals were badly pitted.

The engine bay and engine external surfaces are clean and dry – no fluid leaks at all (engine oil, power steering fluid, brake fluid or coolant). This is the result of recent oil pan and valve cover gasket replacements along with a cooling system overhaul, new belts and pulleys and new power steering reservoir and hoses. The VANOS piston seals were replaced using Viton seals and Beisan Systems anti-rattle spacers were also installed. There are no check engine light or stored codes and both driver and passenger front airbags have been replaced as part of the published BMW recall – no other outstanding recall notices exist at this time.

The suspension was overhauled in 2017 using Koni FSD struts/shocks and Eibach Sport springs which resulted in a slight reduction (10 mm) in ride height but a compliant ride. The additional caster provided by the offset front control arm bushings (from the Z4M) further sharpens the steering feel making this car a delight on a twisty road but still comfortable on LA’s notoriously poor road surfaces. E46 M3 rear trailing arm bushings with limiters and M3 upper and lower outer control arm bearings along with larger front and rear swaybars from the all-wheel drive 330Xi model plus new bushings and end links complete the suspension work. New front brake rotors, pads and calipers and new rear brake pads along with stainless braided brake lines were fitted around 30k miles ago.

My own maintenance schedule consisted of an engine oil and filter change every 7,500 miles with engine air filter, transmission and differential fluid changes around 30,000 miles. Documented maintenance from the prior owner includes a differential bushing replacement at 146k miles, clutch, guibo, oil filter housing gasket at 134k miles and a cooling system overhaul at 114k miles. I have tabulated service records back to 113k miles that can be found ny following the link below.

This car was fitted with 19 inch M3 CSL replica wheels when I purchased it but I disliked the handling and ride due to the extra unsprung mass. I replaced these wheels with a set of staggered Style 72 wheels which actually match the dimensions of the Style 135 wheels that came with the ZHP package. I happen to prefer the look of the Style 72 wheels and an incidental benefit is that the front wheel is around 1 lb lighter than the Style 135. The car wears Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ tires that show even tire wear, the rears are 255/35-18 and have a tread depth of 8/32 in., the fronts are 225/45-18 and have a tread depth of 5/32 in.

I purchased the car in July 2016 with around 148k miles and the Carfax from that time indicates that I became the 6th owner. The previous owner bought the car in Tennessee then moved to California. During my tenure it’s been a second vehicle sharing daily driving duties and has been a pleasure to own and drive. I now need the space more than I need a second vehicle so it’s time to pass this great vehicle on to its next owner.

Modifications/Upgrades: BMW Performance air intake, Conforti Shark Injector DME software, Corsa axle back exhaust with black tips, BMW Style 72 wheels (same dimensions as Style 135 wheels included in ZHP package), Koni FSD struts and shocks, Eibach Sport springs, E85 Z4M offset front control arm bushings (increased castor), 25.0 mm diameter front sway bar from E46 330Xi (+1.5 mm compared to ZHP), 20.0 mm diameter rear sway bar from E46 330Xi (+2.0 mm compared to ZHP), E46 M3 rear shock mounts, E46 M3 rear trailing arm bushings with ECS Tuning polyurethane limiters, E46 M3 rear outer upper and lower control arm bushings, front strut and rear shock mount reinforcement plates, carbon fiber-look front strut brace, E46 M3 engine and transmission mounts, BMW aux audio input, integrated garage door opener, hard wired Escort Smartradar, tinted side and rear windows, gloss black kidney grilles and leather covered steering wheel.

Known Issues: driver side front window one-touch up function doesn’t work (one-touch down works fine), rain-sensing wiper operation doesn’t work, three small door dings on panel behind driver’s door.
