Just a quick follow up on this:

I found out iND sells a front and rear 50th anniversary (updated look) motorsport roundel pair with new grommets. From everything they told me, the sizing is the same and they have the posts like the normal roundels so. I got a set for $153 shipped.

There seem to be two sets of 50th Anniversary Classic ///M Roundels. One set for modern G8X ///M cars and a Retrofit set for older platforms. Or it could be they are the same parts and the Retrofit Roundels are available at BMW Parts Retailers & the Non-Retrofit Roundels are for production cars at the BMW Factory.
