Tomorrow my M3 is will be going in for the following maintenance:

    - GUIBO/Center line bearing replacement
    - Cooling System overhaul (replace radiator, expansion tank, various coolant hoses, thermostat, water pump, associated cooling system sensors and fan clutch - new fan blade on hand)
    - Valve guide adjustment maintenance
    - Install my UUC EVO 3 SSK I purchased from Hieu in 2012
    - replace my Section 1 exhaust section

I have a healthy list of work to be done which will set my M3 up for the rest of the 2024 car season before driving my it to Florida where it will reside . . . I would usually tackle this work myself but I have recently suffered health-wise and am unable to do this work so I'm having my dealer do the work this time around knowing I will be shelling a large sum of cash to get this done. It is all about getting my M3 set up for its upcoming move. Getting all this done no matter the cost . . .

    Charlie's ///M Project Thread

To finish off my maintenance, I got a 4-wheel alignment done to make sure my M3 was completely set up for it's drive to Florida.

The UUC EVO3 ssk I purchased from Hieu many years ago has finally been installed and it feels amazing! This shifter makes rowing thru the gears so much fun when driving my M3 and puts lots of smiles on my face

My mechanic told me my M3's condition was comparable to other M3's that had 30k miles on them.

This is my current mileage. Having proper maintenance performed on a yearly basis help to ensure these cars are kept in excellent condition and ensure years of fun enjoyable driving

For my M3 I ordered the Titan Shadow lower steering wheel trim, a set of A-Pillar airbag cover strips, and 6 DINAN N-Series Performance Ignition coils to complete my work on the M3 for 2024 season.

Next, once I get back my Porsche from its current maintenance and upgrading period, my M3 will be going to the indy shop to have it's Challenge carbon fiber roof panel installed so no more sun roof for this ride. Pictures will be taken when completed sometime this month. Summer 2024 car season has been a very busy, and expensive, car season for me with three planned long-distance road trips to Florida (one for each car). A lot has been going on here at my end, most of which has been unplanned.

I just realized I have been sitting on my Challenge carbon fiber roof install for 8 years!!! No wonder Hieu has lost all patience on me . . . well, this is happening now so "better late than never!" Looking forward to seeing this finally installed on my M3.

As timing would have it . . . after having my recent maintenance completed my rear passenger shock mount has failed and I could feel and hear the cues of the shock mounts failing so I brought my M3 back to the dealer to have both rear shock mounts replaced with brand new M3 rear shock mounts. I also found out the bump stops on both shocks had deteriorated to where they too needed replacement so I had my mechanic fabricate them from the OEM shock bump stops to make them work. Also, my passenger door handle broke due to a faulty cable inside the door so I had that replaced as well while the car was in the shop.

After all the work, my M3 feels solid once again and I am very pleased with how the car handles and feels so it is now ready for it's long drive to Florida in a few weeks. Looking forward to cruising down in my M3.
