Marc, whenever you think about buying something from one of our affiliates, think of me. Say to yourself: WWMD? That should do the trick.![]()
Thanks for the headsup boss. I did some quick research and figured out that a new set of Continental DWS replacements for my car would cost me:
Tire Buyer: $780.02 shipped
Tire Rack: $793.50 shipped
I am currently running Potenza RE760's which are awesome, but I don't know what I am going to do come winter. I'd love to buy some lightly used style 44's with a winter tire and just switch between the two sets.
Marcus what has been your experience with getting the tires installed at an independent tire shop? The closest one to me is affiliated with Tire Rack so I would probably go there.

My situation will likely never be similar to most people. I order tires from Tirerack and then get my tires installed for nothing (because of my local San Diego connections).
I imagine that most places charge a fee to install tires that did not come from them.
Yea, I believe it is around $20 per wheel. Eh, not bad. I was just curious if they gave you a frosty look when telling them you didn't buy the tires from them.I need to make friends with the tire peeps.

I don't think they look weird at you. They just charge you to install. No worries.
If the style 44s are the 16" wheels I'm thinking of, they won't clear the ZHP brakes.
Edit: nevermind. The 44s are 17". I was thinking of a different wheel.
