    Hey Marcus,

Yeah, BP spent the night at my place while I helped him with paint correction/detail. Turned out awesome! Also learned what to expect when I convert my side mirrors to OEM M3 mirrors which should be within a few weeks. Mirror body out at paint shop for painting right now. It was nice and BP also coded my ///M so all is good...

Good to hear. And good luck on the M3 mirror install.

    Thanks Marcus.....I'll need it

BP will be taking pics while I'm doing this mod...We were thinking of making up a detailed "ribbon" OEM M3 side mirror retrofit DIY since there's limited information on the subject. I know from helping BP sort out his passenger side mirror, there were moments of "frustration" until we got it to work.

I'd like to share with the community so I think this will be a good first DIY. The next DIY I'm planning to do is the ZKW FX-R retrofit since my passenger ZKW bowl is getting burned out. Getting close to a point where I will have to replace the headlight anyway and since I have a set of FX-R projectors here...I figured why not use these to retrofit my headlights...

Charlie, sounds good on any and all DIYs you do.

Okay then, I will be working on the OEM M3 ribbon motor retrofit DIY. I plan to have lots of pics and explanations. Some of them being "FYI" so others trying to do this mod will know what's in store for them. Hopefully this DIY will be easy to follow and help others who will like to do this. I had BP follow me this morning and I can tell you that this is one sick mod...

For those who are timid I will try to explain every step so that it is easy to follow. For me, pictures is everything so when reading each step an associated pic will really help here....

When I get this DIY done with BP's help, any feedback will be appreciated. Everyone, please bear with me as time is not a luxury I currently have. I'm in finals for my current college term and with a 40 hr work week it's been hectic...

DIY will eventually be posted though

Got my car coded to not require the clutch to be depressed to start, & to allow rolling up all of the windows with the key's lock button, but couldn't get the flat-tire monitor enabled. Now I'm getting DIS/GT1 installed . . . & trying to be patient as it installs!
