So I understand the reasons behind slotted and drilled rotors, but not the differences (if any?) between the two. To met it seems just looks between slits, holes our both combined. Maybe someone can enlighten me?

I'm doing 4 wheel brakes on my ///M soon, going with stoptech slotted rotors, and after reading the thread on their street performance pads, they're in the mix with pbr/axxis pads.
