    From earlier today:

3 small laps around a circuit for each "lap." Was pretty fun.

Private track day with Performance Technic and Turn Inc. They didn't even tell us to put our tow hooks on. Numbers were also optional.. Best part was there was really two sessions. 10am-1pm and 1pm to close.

Porsche Owners Club, Buttonwillow, November 8th, configuration 1CCW. My 2nd, 3rd and 4th sessions. Was supposed to have 5 sessions but some small delays plus fading daylight meant 5th session was canceled. I felt slowwwww..... but also very safe, low risk. Didn't hit anything! (One Porsche in our group hit the wall in session 3. You can see them yellow flag us and I go in as they are pulling out the red then black flags, and the ambulance goes on track (luckily wasn't needed).

Nice videos as usual John. What pointers did the instructor tell you? I can't listen to the videos at the moment.

The usual pointers... late apex is safer, brake in a straight line, finish downshifting before the turn-in, be smooth on the brakes, and put your fist out the window and up before pitting. You know, he never told me to look ahead--either he felt i was looking ahead enough, or he was focusing on other things.

    TIRERACK.com - Revolutionizing Tire Buying
Last weekend at Willow Springs and Streets of Willow with BMW CCA. My first event in the E36 M3.

Saturday on big Willow Springs, driving with faster A-group drivers who keep passing me

Sunday Streets of Willow driving with instructor in D group, which explains why I'm passing so many of them

Sunday Streets same instructor driving my car in A group. He passed several other cars, though only one pass is shown here (3-minute clip). Then we all got black flagged because someone lost a wheel.
