If you want track wheels, go with lightweight 17's. If you want something that'll turn heads on the street, go with 19's. Loved my old VMR V710 setup.

I'm sticking with 18". Tires ordered already. Now time to find 18" style 32.

Good choice. I think they always look and perform well

I'm being really lazy, as I'm sure the answer's somewhere in this thread. Does anyone know if a square setup of 17x8.5, et 40 wheels (specifically, Enkei PF01) will fit on my lowered (KW v.2, maximum height) 2004 ZHP coupe without a front fender roll? It's time for new summer tires, and I'm done running an 18" asymmetric fitment on Madison's wonderful, pothole-strewn roads. If not, I'll just buy a set of 17x8 Oz Formula HLTs or Ultraleggeras.

I don't think they'll fit without rubbing using full size tires. You might need to get some skinny rubber and stretch them, but that negates the advantage of the 17s larger sidewall for the potholes.

BTW, good to see you post. Don't be a stranger

I've seen that some are running 18 x 8.5 et50 squared without problems. I assume that would follow for 17s?

    I'm running 18x8.5 et35. Stretched 235s and I don't rub. At stock height...blown shocks however, so I am a little lower.

Yeah on the 8.5", but it's the ET 35 that is likely to cause issues. It would be like having rears on plus 15mm spacers to push them out. It's the same issue I faced when I was thinking about installing the M-System 2's... but those have the super shallow offset of 20 or something like that which would probably require M3 flares. My current fitment issue is coming from running too wide of a rear tire (265) and I'm rubbing on the inside. I need to pull the wheels off and sand down my inner wheel well a little for clearance
