Staggered vs. Sqaure for a DD/light track purpose

First of all, I'm sorry to bring this up again. Seriously.

I'm looking to get Style 67's for my car. My ZHP wheels aren't in the best condition, and I really don't want to get them refinished.

I found a set of Style 67's not far from me for $400. They come with three good tires; the last one has a hole in it and needs replacing. I'm not in it for the tires, though.

The set I'm looking at is staggered, while I wanted a square setup. I'm not keen on trying to find another set of rears (although I am looking), but I wanted to ask those who are knowledgeable what the pros and cons of staggered vs. squared are for my purposes, and if going square was worth it on your part.

Time is of the essence, so please let me know when you can.

I can only comment on the daily aspect. Square for a DD is good for rotating tires and getting the most out of them.

try finishlinewheels.com if you need refurb wheels.

    http://www.finishlinewheels.com/

But zhp wheels are super heavy. I know of some style 44's for cheap with good tires!

PM me if you want style 44

    Sean is right.

This applys to the type 65.

    Square:
    -Rotatable tires.
    -More oversteer
-MIGHT cost more since you will most likely buy the wider tire for all 4. (225/255 vs 255/255) but it somewhat is cancelled by being able to rotate tires.
-Harder to find a extra set of rims to match width.

    Stagger:
-geared to understeer in emergency situation
-Don't need to find extra set of rears.

I kinda want that, but I'd have to go find another set of rears...

Derek, do you think the hassle of finding an extra set is worth the trouble, in both DD convenience and track performance?

Honestly the style 65 aren't the rims to use for track. I would just keep them a set of staggers for now since it's rather difficult to sell the fronts off. I personally would get a 2nd set of rims

I'm leaning towards that... I found a set of rears but they have rusty.

So I've been doing some research, and it seems the rears won't fit? 18x9 et 26. Can anyone verify? I'm rolled in the rear, but it would only cost me $20 to get pulled out farther...

That will never fit without more extensive fender work, and a fair share of it. Good luck.

Shoot. Well thanks for the info! Better that then buying wheels that don't fit.
