I went from 1st to 2nd quick off the line to gain torque and eliminate looping it with that off-camber turn...and then stayed there.
The squeaking is from my HP+ pads. It was rather cold (50*F) so brakes and tires never got to temperature. That lead to trouble with power down, and brakes that were loud.
