Yeah, I'm shocked how quickly things sold out. That counts me out. Oh well.
It's currently a race against the clock (payday on Friday) for my June track day as well. I guess people are hot for the track this year...

JP, Derek, I think the Friday school is still open today. It will probably sell out soon but the Saturday school should stay open for a while. That's what I'm hoping for. Probably a lot of attendees from out of state start driving home Saturday morning if they drove, or head to the airport or golf or shopping on Saturday if they flew in and rented or shipped their car.
Edit: CCA reg guy said the local Hilton is the backup event hotel since the Hyatt is sold out.

The CCA National web site says 5 spots left for the Friday driving school as of Tuesday. But today at a CCA AutoX. At the recently former Pacific Region VP said the Wed, Thur, and Fri driving schools at Oktoberfest are sold out (wait list) but Saturday still has about 40 openings.
Bump bumpitty bump bump!
Might there be enough to have a ZHP caravan to O'fest?? I'm in Ventura and would like to meet up if anyone's interested!

For those of you at Oktoberfest this week, I'm sorry I haven't been there yet. Started a new job this week so have to be in the office until Thursday afternoon. Will be in the driving school Friday and Saturday. Signed up for Taste of Monterey tomorrow night but not sure if I'll make it there in time.
That's this weekend? I'm out. BT Tourney.

first track day was today but I haven't heard any news. I think my first event starts at 7pm tomorrow night. I'll leave work, pick up my daughter from after school car, wait for my wife to get home, then drive through Santa Cruz and hope the traffic isn't too bad to Monterey. Then drive home, then drive to Laguna Seca early Friday morning, which could be counter-commute. Thinking about getting a cheap hotel Friday night. Except I don't think there are any cheap hotels in Monterey! (Maybe in Salinas.)
