Really nice project you have going here Shawn, great work!

Just don’t let the rear floor (RACP) failure spoil all the fun. That can get really expensive if left too long http://www.m3forum.net/m3forum/showthread.php?t=590925

Anyway, I might want to trade some knowledge and experience with you further ahead as I have a similar project in my pipeline. I’m also shooting for the body panel work as well http://www.m3forum.net/m3forum/showthread.php?t=590488

Please let me know when your ready to install a VinceBar kit and I’ll work out a killer deal for you!

Hey Vince! thanks for the line drop. regardless, happy to help on info so if you need or want anything knowledge wise feel free to hit me up on PM here or we can transition to Facebook messenger. I use that a lot with people. I love the S54 in my car, it just feels perfect.

When i was building my car, i did see the Vince bar and I did want it. the price was a bit steep at the time for me but more so the bigger issue was the install that scared me away and that i dont track my car at all so i ended up just doing the rear subframe AKG plates and bushings.

i would love to go the vince bar route (i love mods lol) and it looks so darn cool too but man that install and price scare me eeek more so the install part.

Thanks for offering your help on the S54 swap.

Regarding the RACP load relief, to the each their own, it’s your car after all.

But if saddens me that so many still believe this issue is related to tracking, and that the TMS style plates do any good at all.

If you look at the second sentence of the first post, in the link I provided in the previous post, you’ll see that he states that there has been NO tracking of that car.

And his RACP is completely broken up to the point where a new RACP needs to go in at a cost of roughly 7000 USD.

The same is the case with this one:
    http://www.m3forum.net/m3forum/showthread.php?t=557367

I helped him out quite a bit which is why I know that cost 7000 USD.
So the cost of the VinceBar insurance is in fact fairly low. Especially compared to many of your other mods

If you change your mind shoot me a PM and I’ll set you up with a nice deal.

tell me about it. you know that i agree, and i have been pretty vocal about it on here... but for some reason people just think they won't be affected, or can't see how costly it actually will be once a failure occurs. Denial ain't just a river in egypt.

anyway, sorry shawn....i shouldn't be cluttering up your thread.
