No it's butter Sean. My Zhp was on V2s and it was a dream. Firm but not harsh.

They're nice too because they still utilize the hydraulic steering as opposed to the electric like most other new models. (even though I'm growing more and more fond of the electric steering, the later model bmw's w/ hydraulic steering models always seemed too heavy and dull)

My Mini has electric steering, although it seems less complicated it is very lite. I am thankful tho that when sport mode is on it firms up the steering quite a bit. It reminds me of my E30.

It is/was an x1, a bare-bones s-drive 28i. I REALLY enjoyed it! The steering feel was fantastic and that 8-speed transmission could change me into an auto-tragic driver for sure. It was ALWAYS in the right gear, no "hunting" around, I really might consider an x1 when they start coming back in used or lease-returned for a DD. This should be happening around the time that I'll be ready for my ZHP to be a dedicated "garage queen."

I have driven my friends A4.. I got into it and couldn't believe how light and numb the steering was. Not my cup of tea. I also got out of my ZHP and drove my dad's Infiniti G37 (which, prior to owning the ZHP I believed to have tight steering) and the steering felt incredibly light in comparison to the ZHP. I love the feel and heaviness of the ZHP's steering.

Pretty sure I mentioned this in another thread but a friend of mine has a C300 with the AMG sport plus package and I drove it a week ago. The car has no feel at all. Ill admit it was a lot easier through turns at high speeds, but at the sacrifice of feeling like a Camry? Noooooo thaaaanks.

My mother has a B7 A4 and I agree. Steering is super light. Then again my previous job was a valet and every single new car I drove except two companies had light and boring steering. The two that had good steering? BMW and Porsche. (I didn't get to drive any super cars)

I wonder how the F30 steering is... Probably light and boring.

This is from awhile back (pre roof-rack fairing), but I just came across it and it took my breath away. I haven't driven my ZHP in nearly a week, when I work overnights its easier to leave her in the garage and share the Honda.

Your car looks really good. I'm starting to love the roof rack look. It is sorta sexy seeing something so beautiful perform a very functional part of life. Plus I needed to move something this weekend and it was too long.

^ Thanks! I've carried many different ladders (borrow them from work, when my 8' isn't enough height at home), wood, a set of table and chairs, folding tables (for parties, garage sales, ect) all kinds of stuff up there.

Do your research though, I didn't, I just went ahead and bought the OEM rack for the e46. I actually prefer the e90 rack (it has plastic that covers the "feet") and I didn't realize it would work on our cars. I purchased mine at the local dealer on closeout. There are some nice looking (lower profile too) aftermarket racks out there too. I would recommend getting a fairing as well, it really cuts down on wind noise. I went about 6 months without one, it makes a world of difference.

Dario, as well lit as my ZHP shift knob is....the LED is red rather than the BMW orange. Still, I don't mind it too much since I have an Imola ZHP :) Thanks for the complements on my interior :thumbsup

I'm an OEM kind of guy and actually prefer the red LED illumination. It's fine and gives the interior a more refined/modern look IMO. I know it's all down to personal tastes but I was surprised at how good it looks.

F10 M5 is BMW orange. Leatherz is red led.

The lit ZHP shift knob in my ZHP is not from LeatherZ. It was modded by a forum member from M3Forum.net (deadlysyns). He took a standard ZHP shift knob and inserted an led array so that everything lights up evenly. He also rewraps the shift knob in alcantara if you desire...this guy does a much better job than LeatherZ.

I've never found yellow bowls to look good with angel eyes. Without the AEs though, I think they look sexy as hell, especially on Mystic Blue!
