Just looked up all the X3 brake parts on FCP Euro, and the total comes to about $525. That means the indie shop is getting about $275 for labor. Seems very fair to me.
For that kind of money, I might just pay him to do it and save the DIY energy for doing the ZHP.
Or, I could learn on the wife's car and put the savings toward better parts for the ZHP.
Decisions... ;-)

Fcp has a sale on brake kits right now. $50 off iirc
No. This thread seem to point to the DMTL (Diagnostic Module Tank Leakage) pump.

Brakes on the ZHP really aren't that bad. Just be prepared to tackle some seized bolts with some PB blaster or the like. To get seized rotors off I just put a wood block on one side of the rotor and smacked it with a hammer (rubber hammer was on loan to a friend). Do it on different parts and it'll eventually fall off.
or if you're replacing the rotors, skip the wood block and rubber hammer and just use a BFH :)
Will the side mirrors (glass) from a sedan work on the coupe ?
I'm interested in people's thoughts on these maintenance intervals. Should they be more, less? Is anything missing? I like to be conservative.

Evap purge valve?
Cleaning it was what a shop here recommended to Dan (Novaphotog) when he asked for me and showed them my codes. They said the one by the charcoal can may need it also.

Things I'd change:
Brake fluid - 2 years if you do not track your car. 6 months if you do. You'll never boil your fluid under normal driving.
Air filter - I believe this is a 30k item
Cabin air filter - Also 30k. Honestly, I've only ever replaced it once the entire time I've had the car (about 100k or so ago), and didn't even need to back then. I never noticed a difference and am of the thinking that it's pointless.
Fuel filter is a 60-100k item. I'd do it at 100k if you drive a lot, 60 if you don't.
Spark plugs are a 100k item.
Belts are a 60k item, together with your cooling system.
Pullies - I do these when I do the cooling system.
I get about 60k out of a set of plugs...
Spark plugs on my Zhp were changed 60k miles ago by PO... Guess it's time, I'm exactly at 120k miles now...

I checked realoem once I got home. They are different part numbers for sedan and coupe.

"ZHP is a garbage option anyway- just some cosmetic upgrades with a different cam and diff to claw back some of the performance lost fitting those hideous and heavy wheels. Any 330 with a 3.46 diff will smoke a ZHP every time. The whole Mafia thing reeks of childish behavior." - anonymous
+1. And He'll send it to you if you ask nicely.

Havent searched around yet but,
can a subwoofer and amplifier be tied into the business CD player?? I have the Harmon/Kardon sound system in my car and want to have all those speakers working still. Just want to have some extra bass kick.
I don't know the specifics of the business radio, but someone who knows how to wire should not have any problems with it. Just make sure you have a separate sub volume wired so you can crank it up there and not be blowing your speaker bc the bass is cranked all the way up on your radio.

How much does a zhp muffler go for/good listing price?

Any suggestions on how to get these three screws out? I'm trying to replace the small pump on the back of the charcoal canister. Can't get vice grips on them and the heads (hex) are rusted out and or stripped.
