What I'm telling people in the internet: something hopped up on the highway at 80+ mph and crushed my front mtechII, dislodging my fog light and scraping the paint to high hell.

Actual story: I crushed my mtechII on some belgian block curbing. Doh!

Touched up the scrapes, screwed the fog light back in, refitted the fog cover.

Then I painted my winter wheels flat black. First foray ever into wheel painting. Sanded with 320 then used duplicolor wheel coat. The finish does not seem durable at all, but maybe it needs to dry/harden more.

Yea that's probably the next step. Didn't want the clear coat shiny look, and pep boys didn't have any matte clears.

Yea this is all just making it easier for me to rationalize buying a new mtechII and getting it sprayed.

Well, in that case I'm glad that porcupine ran out in front of your car on the Turnpike.
