Ordered the $100 Sunshade Repair Kit from BMW. I'm gonna finally get this dumb thing fixed. Wish me luck...if I can't do it, my local indy shop will be glad to.

The only thing I'm worried about is the sunshade driver. There are no instructions on how to get it out, and I've got a feeling that mine is mangled. Plus, I'd like to upgrade it to the newer, beefier driver.

Cleaned up the engine bay yesterday, checked and topped up all fluids. It was very neglected, the four T-25 screws that fasten the cabin filter tray were just stuck in the threads with two or three rotations by hand. I'm surprised the whole tray didn't fall onto the engine. I also adjusted my door handles so they open easier and then sprayed white lithium grease on all the hinges and moving parts around the car.

On your door there is a little hole you put a socket in there turn it like half a round in clockwise but if you turn it too much door handle will not work. The place of the hole is where your door connects with the lock. Ill send a picture later

Thanks. I think I know where that is, I just wasn't sure if it was actually an adjustment thing or just to tighten it altogether.
