How were those losses calculated? By assuming the cars had exactly their original output I'm assuming?

    Just curious.

I've seen estimated figures for our cars from 15%-18%. Some of the E46 M guys seem to think it's 18%, because apparently much more of them get to 333 that way!

It is great isn't it! I didn't think it'd load all my contacts either. I have the first bluetooth TCU that BMW ever made in mine, retrofitted in 2005 by the original owner.

The car wasn't even sold as having bluetooth, so suffice it to say it was a nice surprise!
Those losses were calculated on stock dyno runs vs modded ASSUMING each car was a benchmark vehicle for comparison against manufacturer claimed hp numbers. That being said, for all we know the cars could have been wednesday cars or subpar production vehicles. Impossible to tell that is why people estimate.

Justin once again I find you butting heads with me. Why do you find in necessary to do this on a weekly basis? I am trying to give people an idea of what it put down in comparison to the stock factory claim on the engine. Since my car was not 100% stock when it was dyno'd for baseline, it's hard to tell if there is power loss/gain from anything else on there. Therefore the addition of the headers could have gained even more from a perspective. I realize this is a forum where people know a bit more than the average consumer but to simplify stuff for ANYONE, I made a comparison this way instead of saying - I made X whp and X wtq on a mustang dyno which you need to know is about 15% lower than this or that or whatever. It's an estimation, nobody is inflating shit... I'm sure you saw the dyno photo on e46f so whats the issue? Interpret it however you want just please for God's sake leave the assumptions, attitude and negativity out of it.

Cool story, Seth. Go cry about it. ZHP's put down a consistent 205whp in stock form. It's all there in black and white. You don't need to estimate anything, just use the gains from before and after and the wheel hp rating. That's all anyone cares about. Just say you make 20 whp over stock. That's acceptable with tuning and headers. 225whp.

Like I said earlier, very interested in your dyno with the new oil and the frank-intake. Just try to find a place that uses a better dyno and employs educated people.

You might want to reconsider your tone Justin. You're not gonna last here much longer if you keep the path you are on.

    Watch your mouth.

It sounds like the OP in that E46f thread had the same symptoms, but the majority of those replies aren't correct.

If fuel pump, it'd crank over with no fire... If battery, it'd be weak or you'd get the clicking of the starter solenoid... If starter, it might try or be weak...

I'm thinking this is a connection of some sort, or one of the magical mystery electronic devices in the car.

So here's more detail on my issue... I get in, push in clutch, turn key to start, absolutely nothing. No clicks, no dimming lights, NOTHING... All appears as normal. The other day when it first happened, I held the key to the start position, and after 2 seconds or so, it started. Starter cranked up quick and car jumped right to life, just like before...

Now this morning, I tried that again, holding key to start... Yet, even after 4-5 seconds, I had nothing... So, I turned key to off, and then tried again. On the second try, it cranked and started up right away, like nothing had happened...
Probably a long shot, bit is this something that a bad voltage regulator might cause?

Got the ZHP some new shoes! Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus. It's gonna be about 200 miles to really break them in, but they grip is phenomenal. My old Conti DWS were great, but 3 years on a tire and these were starting to dry rot. Not to mention I had pretty much 0 tread left.

I also got an alignment. Before I bought the car, the PO told me about a pothole he hit and cracked a rear rim. He had it replaced with another OEM Style 135 and all was fine. What he didn't do was get an alignment done. So the toe was completely off in my rear passenger wheel. All fixed now. Posting results in the Alignment thread found HERE
