I was the same way for both my BMWs so I went ahead and purchased my LCMs (s/w 4.0 for ZHP and s/w 4.5 for ///M) and learned how to reprogram them for both cars with BP's help.

Now they both have one touch triple blink

How can you tell what SW version it has? I'm pretty sure I'll be bringing the ZHP this year...

Rob, when you pull the LCM out look for the label



On the label you will see hardware version and software version. Its the software version you're looking for (4.0 or 4.5)

Like this:


You can see the versions on the bottom right corner of the label. In this case my SW vers 4.5 . If this value is either a 4.0 or 4.5 then you can reprogram your LCM for one touch triple blink

Thanks for that info! I was briefly looking at LCM's with rear fog last week while not reading for school... Glad I didn't pop off and buy one without this knowledge...
