What did you do for your ZHP/ BMW / MINI today? #2

These are the two I have :

The blue one works with the E46. The clear / silver one has a different circuit board in it and is supposed to be able to talk to the E70 but I can't get it to work.

Yeah, I've got the silver one. Do you have "D CAN.exe" from the driver CD? You need to run that each time you connect the cable. The order is:

- USB to Laptop
- OBD end to OBD port
- Run "D CAN.exe," select the proper port, select "write," select "K-Can Bus"

This tells the driver to send information through the correct set of pins.

Wow. I can't tell you how happy I'll be if that is the problem. It's been a while since I last messed with it but I don't recall that step at all.

I decided to pop on the koni yellows while they were on sale. I'm at 103xxx and after removing the rears were shot all though the fronts had a little life (both original). Front and rear mounts were replaced with reinforcement but the originals still looked ok. I also replaced rtabs with powerflex and I was surprised at how good they still looked. I've got pics if anyone wants to see mine at this mileage. Car is noticeably tighter. I've got the koni's set on one full turn and so far I'm quite pleased.

PDR guy did werk today! Fixed my big dent on my fender and the rear on my rear quarter panel.

This costed 1/8th of the other option that I got quoted for the body shop to repair it their way. So needless to say, I'm happy!
