My "ZHP" for the next 24 hours.

Nice! I don't know what it is.. but I really like the X1's, particularly their interior layout.

They're nice too because they still utilize the hydraulic steering as opposed to the electric like most other new models. (even though I'm growing more and more fond of the electric steering, the later model bmw's w/ hydraulic steering models always seemed too heavy and dull)

My Mini has electric steering, although it seems less complicated it is very lite. I am thankful tho that when sport mode is on it firms up the steering quite a bit. It reminds me of my E30.

All the Audi's I drive at work have electric steering.

It.

It is just to light and has no feel. Even in Dynamic mode in the S models its still way to light compared to my ZHP.

I've driven many audis and I agree.. They are waaay over boosted.

It is/was an x1, a bare-bones s-drive 28i. I REALLY enjoyed it! The steering feel was fantastic and that 8-speed transmission could change me into an auto-tragic driver for sure. It was ALWAYS in the right gear, no "hunting" around, I really might consider an x1 when they start coming back in used or lease-returned for a DD. This should be happening around the time that I'll be ready for my ZHP to be a dedicated "garage queen."

I think the ZHP is at a perfect spot in terms of steering. My sisters E90 Sport is already a little too stiff for my liking.

I have driven my friends A4.. I got into it and couldn't believe how light and numb the steering was. Not my cup of tea. I also got out of my ZHP and drove my dad's Infiniti G37 (which, prior to owning the ZHP I believed to have tight steering) and the steering felt incredibly light in comparison to the ZHP. I love the feel and heaviness of the ZHP's steering.

Yeah I drove my friends Audi A4 and it was pretty light. Also no power till the turbo actually kicked in.
