I ordered vanity plates for my 2005 Mini Cooper yesterday. I went with "05 MIN"
The price was $225 for a 5 year term. "05 MINI" was available, but the price was double.

Nice. I was just looking at my cowl last weekend thinking it was something that I should put on my list. It looks like I could change it in 10-15 minutes, yeah?

Double? Just because of one additional character?

Has it protected his bumper??? How does he like it?

There was a card in the box for a few more products, such as this one to protect the corners of the bumper where a bumper bully does not reach. It appears to be much more subtle than other solutions I have seen. I might order a color sample and see how it matches up. check it out:

Correct. I selected the "custom series " which is limited to 2 numbers + 3 characters. If you want another character, that's the "luxury series" which is more expensive.

Took about half hour on the E38. Hardest part was pulling the arm off after unbolting it. Still wasn't too difficult. Pretty sure both arms must be removed on the E46.
