I'm late to this thread but I really appreciate what your doing with this M. Shame on the PO, he will get his in the long run. Stay the course, you are doing an incredible job with this charity case. Love this thread.

Thanks echo, feels good to bring it back from the dead. Still a ways to go right now till it's fully "done" but the subframe bushings and reinforcement fix this week (while I'm in Cali) should be the nail in the coffin to getting her back into respectable shape.

There's nothing better than the satisfaction that you brought back a beautiful ///M from where it was when you got it Seth! Believe me, I know how this feels Mine was not in the best shape as well and it has taken lots of TLC to get mine where it is currently....now I"m adding OEM CSL love to my ///M Unfortunately, it takes time and money to "restore" the car to where you want it to be....

I'm sure yours will be just as awesome as mine Seth

Did the PO track the crap out of your whip? The crack doesn't look that bad, which kit are you going to use to fix it. I think after my 30,000 mile valve adjustment, Vanos refresh I am going to do the foam reinforcement for peace of mind. Good luck, that M is really looking good.

Thanks bud, no clue about the PO because he was a lying PO Shit... so I don't trust anything he said. It was likely a track rat though from the evidence of what was needing to be fixed.

I need to get a VA done as well. I'm at 92k.

This. Imola is way redder than Coral. Coral is rather pale in comparison.

Headers and exhaust > CSL airbox, IMO. You'd enjoy the headers + exhaust more as they have more of an effect.

What I would prefer is a water methanol velocity stack but hard to find any info on doing that.
