Really it prevents your from bogging down on hills and such. Also really good for trying to get out of your driveway. Nearly got the wagon stuck the other day but turned off DSC and jimmied my way out! We usually turn it off at the dealership to get cars out when they are iced in or when there is a ton of snow to get through. Otherwise if you are just driving normally it should be on, can really save your ass if you aren't trying to go sideways.

The answer is this below.
DSC always kills the power when I'm trying to turn onto a relatively busy road, forcing others behind me to have to brake because the car won't allow me to accelerate out of the near standstill it puts me in. Whenever it snows, it's DSC off as soon as I get in the car.
Sometimes you have more control when the tires are spinning.

Yeah, it's definitely a pita when there's more than 1in of snow. The car has too much torque so it just bogs down. Otherwise I leave it on.
