Yeah, good thing I have another car to drive. I have a feeling I'm gonna be working on this for a while.

    Which car is this on??

Maybe an oxygen sensor socket to get that hose off? What's the size of the bolt?

JP...wouldn't it be better if you pull the whole engine out???? Not completely out...just lifted out enough to go under?

E21. Nah, the hose clamp is off I just can't get my hand in there to grab it.

Edit: I realized you're talking about the one with the label, that's one of the lines to the fuel distributor. I'm talking about the one in the background coming off that metal pipe against the block with the little clamp on it

Honestly I don't know. Best part was when I told Carl I needed to change my starter, he told me to "have fun"

My parts list for him to order me now consists of fuel dist line seals, possibly new injectors + seals, those bushing things for the radiator, the coolant hose, 6ft of vacuum line, I need to trade him my 90amp E30 alt for one that he has on the shelf...

I hate CIS, I don't understand why Porsche and Mercedes used it for so long. Honestly I'm starting to think it might be easier to just swap in a 6cyl, but I haven't even started planning for how to deal with the referee. Maybe M42...

Just remembered he has that spare S14, I wonder if he'd sell it to me

Edit: Lawrence, I need to get the AFM out to pull this bracket off that holds the starter in. Going from underneath won't help until this is removed

And why the hell did they decide to make it a female hex? If it was male I would already be done with this

At least I have the shop supervisor here for moral support

Got the hose out, I only broke it into 3 pieces

Edit: about to give up for the night but check out this huge vacuum leak I just found

Wow! I'm sure that didn't help anything. Might have even been part of the reason the plugs looked so bad so soon.

Looks like your mileage is getting a little high there.

Looking good! Is the left side of the wheel a bit more shiny than the right from the use?
