Wow that shot with the dash out is really impressive (scary but impressive). Did you consider sound deadening (dynomat etc) under carpets?

I didn't put any dynomat or any other type of sound deadening material on the floor...

I was very surprised by how quickly this project almost got completed. We could have easily finished this project today but towards the end we decided that it's best not to stress our bodies too much by trying to finish. In theory, this project could be finished all in a day's work before the sun goes down even with this blasted early sunset.

All that's left now is the HVAC setup, center console/shifter area, seats, and A pillars, as well as figuring out how to make the door cards mount properly using the brackets without interfering with the mirror memory modules.

I'm very impressed with how much information on the swap Charlie retained in his memory; we did all of this without looking up a single thing on the interwebz. Good job Charrie.

Pretty fun, right, guys?! Now do it 3 times.

I hope this goes to show just how easy dash removal is. Nothing hard at all. I did find the fitment of cut carpets after installation to be subpar around the center console, along the side of the HVAC and core. Being cut, it doesn't "lean in" as much as it would were the carpet installed as a whole; as such, I can actually see a portion of the cut exposed from under my dash. Having that has led to less than perfect fitment of the carpet around the dead pedal, as well as the alignment of the pins that hold the sill to the door.

Just some things I noticed when I did this job, that, hopefully, you guys can notice or remedy when you begin to assemble everything fully. Take your time and make sure that fitment is perfect, because slight inconsistencies will add up.

Nice job! Ironically, I spent the past few days doing the same exact thing. I unfortunately didn't take many pics of the process. I will start a project thread for my 'unicorn' in the next couple days!

I had a helper as well, my 3 year old son. He loves being out the garage with me, and actually does help with getting tools, or holding screws, etc. Giving him a proper education nice and young.

Wow nice work guys! Looking at the photo of the dash completely apart is amazing. Looks kinda intimidating to say the least.
Can't wait to see completed pics!
