I took my ZHP in for a 2 year service/check up (I don't drive it much). Had to pick a new shop because I took it to the dealer a few times and I quickly got tired of their prices and inability to fix things. I found a guy who owns a BMW/Porsche shop here in SF, and him and his wife seem to know their stuff. I got an oil change (he uses something called "total" oil, which is approved for our cars), had my VCG changed ("we don't touch VR gaskets! We put Elring in yours"), and he fixed my e-brake not holding on my hill (house is on a 30 degree incline. Now it holds!). The BMW dealer had 2 chances with this brake thing and they couldn't get it right. One odd thing is he put my tire pressure for 39p front and 46p rear. Seems a bit high. I will lower it back to whats on the door jam this weekend.
Its always nerve-wracking starting a relationship with a new shop. I feel a lot better now as it seems these guys really know what they're talking about.

One (small) niggle is that he left 1 or 2 tiny spots of blue stuff (RTV?) around the VCG at the front of the engine. Most people wouldn't care but I am pretty detail oriented. Can I clean this stuff off myself? if so, how does it come off?
