There are lots of other fun roads in the proximity of Deals gap as well. The question is how long do you want to drive for? Is this going to be a weekend event or an all 1 day event?

I'm up for either way. We run these mountains all of the time so I can assemble a group of people to convoy there to meet the Mafia. Would be a blast

A little late to the party here, but to rent the VIR Full Course looks to run between $8,000-10,000 for the day in-season, if the pricing is roughly the same as it was a couple of years ago. That includes the track and corner workers, BUT it does not include instructors, which are usually volunteers. Perhaps if there is interest in getting a bunch of us together for a high performance driving event we should try to find one that is being run that we can join individually, but all be there at the track for the same day (or usually two). Cost varies a bit, but is usually $375 for two days on the track. I used to go with an event in late May/early June that was called Marque Madness, and it was combined Audi, BMW, and Mercedes clubs, but there was a vast array of cars on the track. I don't believe this event is even in operation anymore, but there are other alternatives for sure.

(VIR sticker is good for at least a couple of HP...but not enough to keep a track-prepped E36 M3 at bay).

Mountain drive sounds like it could be a lot of fun, but I would suggest not making the dates too close to the Family Reunion which is running the first weekend in May in Cape May, NJ, as people may end up with conflicts. If any of you haven't been to the formal family reunion and are otherwise able to go, I HIGHLY recommend it. That said, a mountain meet at another time could be a lot of fun!

I went there as well. And now live in asheville. I'm not far from deals gap but there are plenty of other roads that are less traveled by people that are just as good. I'm sure Cam would come up too. I could prob get ryan to join us as well.

Yes. Grad 2009, then bought a house and lived there till 2001. Asheville is the shit! Like a bigger boone, cool people, open minds, great food, lots of breweries.
