This is what my wheel lock looked like after they ruined my only key...

That chunk of paint missing was from when one of their mechanics tried to hammer a socket over them, and missed a swing with the hammer. I think I scared him a little when I screamed at him for that. After having watched him do it he has the balls to say "that was always there" /rant
I had a similar issue occur to my ///M recently when the mechanics used air tools to torque my aluminum open ended lug nuts. The shop ruined my lug nuts so I ended up having to get Kics R40's. Next time I will be watching them closely..... sorry to see you having to go through this....

The annoying part is that I actually told them before I left them the car, be sure to only torque the lugs to 67 ft/lbs. I always remind them because I was worried they would do this. You can see how well that plan worked.

This is how my lug nuts looked after the mechanics used air tools on them....sometimes I swear they are plain stupid....

Like I can use these when I take my ///M to car shows These pictured were in the best of shape. I have others that were gouged deeper....

This is after I stressed to my service advisor to have my lug nuts loosened, tightened, and torqued by hand....do you think these mechanics actually listen to their customer???

Yeah, in spring when I take my ///M in for it's Insp I, I will be taking my ruined set of lug nuts along with my receipt for the Kics R40's and show the service department manager what happened to my last set after his shop worked on my car. I will tell him how much I did not appreciate his mechanics not listening when I specifically stated my lug nuts required "hand tools" not air tools.

Those look nasty. Theres no way they installed them by hand like you instructed. I'm seriously considering buy a set of harbor freight's coated impact sockets and giving it to my mechanic with the car. I'll in-grave 67 ft/lbs in it or something. Although it's a little late, the lug holes on my CSL's are all pretty trashed.

I reaaallly need to do this, I have an appointment Friday to have an inspection done and I don't need anything else damaged. I can't afford to keep paying for their screw ups. Maybe I'll leave a sticky note on the instrument cluster. lol

    Edit: these sockets... http://www.harborfreight.com/7-piece...ets-69781.html

Although they don't actually protect the surface of the bolt, it should protect the wheel from damage.

I washed it today... The ZHP?? No... Its still disgustingly filthy... I did the first wash on the 328 today. The ZHP will come later in the week... I hope... Oh well... Saturday is already slated as "Daddy's day for cars"... My wife and I have to schedule that sort of stuff so that she can make plans with the girls...

Sooo, another day and the ZHP gets no real love. But, Saturday big changes coming!

I dropped off my ZHP and arranged to have a full interior detail to include steam cleaning the carpeting and matts. By the time I take delivery of my daily driver, the car will be completely washed, and the interior will be fresh

Brand spankin' new hood Insulation. I should have taken a before picture. Amazing hot shrunken and ratty the old one became. This looks and fits so much better. Like a new pair of headlight lens for under the hood!

Oh, and this is going on. Anyone know off hand what type of screw is license plate? I could use new ones.
