My battery cover seems to be missing a couple of fasteners that should secure it to the floor:

What parts are those in this diagram (assuming I've got the right diagram)? http://realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?...43&hg=51&fg=65 They're also missing from the trunk tray on the left. I'm guessing they're the "locking button", but I'm not sure. I'm assuming they're supposed to be there. :-)

I took them off on my 325 permanently and there's one missing on my zhp. The cover stays put. I'd only replace them if you're fanatical about keeping everything perfect.

To those with h&r springs: did you go with race or sport springs, and why? How many inches did it lower your car? If you're running spacers, what size are you using?

Was there ever a "banana yellow" e46? I drive by a heavily modded (most of it is tastefully done) e46 that's banana yellow. I don't think I've seen any others that color.

I know there is 1 Dakar Yellow ZHP produced.

I'm not sure about other E46s though because Dakar was mainly an E36 M3 color.

Need some help, ladies and gents.

I have the opportunity to get some E38 M parallels. Does anyone know the specs of these wheels? How much do they weigh, is the center bore the same, and how can I fit them to an E46? I remember someone here doing it, but I wouldn't be able to find the thread.

Actually you should ask Stathi, he did it with his wheels.

Center bore is the same, but offset is something like ET23

Make sure they are E38 wheels and not E39 as the center bore on E39 is wrong for our cars

They are different on the back.

And the ballasts are in slightly different locations.
