Prepping to sell. It's bittersweet, but I have to admit I'll probably feel better pretty fast once I hop into the new car :P

I will take a few pics of the process tomorrow. It's quite simple. I thought they were glued in but its actually just clipped in place.

What product did you use? As you can see in the picture of the car I'm purchasing its missing a piece of trim. I want to find a parted out 330i and pass on waiting for a zhp to pop up where I can get the glossy trim. Basically I want to get the stock trim and just make it look glossy the the oem zhp trim.

Damn...you can order the trim piece from the dealer and it is easy to replace.

However you can probably replace it with a wrapped piece from any e46 sedan.

I used some gloss black vinyl from bmwshadowline.com. I bought the roll about 2 years ago.

I think the OE shadowline is pretty pricey. That's why he's looking. This might be a nice alternative at least in the interim. And there's always plastidip for a quick cheap fix--though it will most likely be flat. #dontstartflaming :-D

    $198.37 from ECSTuning.com.

I would just add it into your purchase costs. Although I can see the apprehension in doing so.

Well, another day and another good bit of work completed. I finished the brakes today, had the wifey help me bleed them. Also took care of the oil change... I started the detail, mostly the trunk area and under the hood. Then I detail sprayed the whole car and will start on the polishing tomorrow. In addition to all that, I test fit some spacers to stick my ass end out a little bit... Not gonna happen... Will have to see what other size spacers I can locate.

Gave it a wash and a quick detail before settling down to study for board exams... The temp went from 70's and beautiful to 30's and sleet this evening so looks like it was all for not.

I washed, sealed, and waxed the car. I need to spend a weekend doing a paint correction but wanted some protection for the meantime. From afar my car is pretty clean but the front hood near the kidneys and lower valance really show it is a highway car - paint chips etc.
