I did SS brake and clutch lines this weekend. I had the same concern, but it worked out fine (although to be honest I haven't pushed them very hard). Pedal feel is great. I used a Motive power bleeder and it was a piece of cake.

    +1

I've never had to go to dealer, not to say that couldn't happen.

Is it possible to get OEM Xenon shrouds from anywhere? Part #?

There isn't a part # for it. You either get it from a spare set of headlights or on eBay.
You can, however, buy an aftermarket one from The Retrofit Source or I think Lightwerkz as well. Based on the pictures, they look the same as OEM but don't have Xenon written on them.

Gotcha. I got the "e46 value shrouds" from TRS with my retrofit kit and I'm not a fan. Guess I'll start browsing for some

I have been doing some research, and I am getting warmer to the idea of performing an engine swap to my zhp. The power plant of choice (drum roll please) the LS1! Found a kit for the e46. Thoughts?

I hate the idea of a non BMW engine, going in a BMW.

Depends on where you live. In CT, for example, the engine must be from the same model year or newer to be allowed. The stupid thing about this is that if for example you have a 2002 M3 and swapped an engine from a 2001 (same exact engine), this wouldn't be allowed. But, the engine from a 2002 or onward would be.

You might want to check the laws and see if you'd be able to pass emissions.

The emissions and model year law isn't a problem. Just a little unsure if I want to basically tear down my front end completely. But the reward is pretty amazing. It would create the ULTIMATE dual threat car
