Mine's Jet Black, his is dirty black, er, Sapphire Metallic Black.Certainly hard to tell, but the clue is the top of the passenger door in that pic below. You can tell the metallic in the light.

Funny fact here: my e36 and e46 were jet black. My e90 is black sapphire metallic. But, I didn't notice the color until I was at home with all the paperwork done. Yeah, it can be difficult to identify unless you are really looking for it.
