Exhaust appointment tomorrow at 8am. Hoping to lay things out and see if he can get me an estimate on building it. This shop has some super rare Porsches and the guy that runs the shop drives a Euro e28 M5...

Unsure at the moment. I will need mufflers and resonator. Depending on what they price them at I will see. If not I will buy from Amazon.

Second shop wants $1754 to build the exhaust. Shit with that money I can keep the stock exhaust and buy Supersprint headers...

Wow seems like a ton of money. I've never paid that much to have an exhaust built for any previous cars.

Yeah...thats what I'm freaking out about. Sure they guys need to get paid...but the second shop quoted me two days of labor. 16 hours at $45 per hour and $1000 in parts. Muffler, resonator, piping, mandrel bends, and clamps.

Looking into taking a welding class and using the tools there and my exhaust as a project for credit.

Not a bad idea. A friend of mine in SC learned how to weld and built his own headers and oil cooler for his Mini. VERY useful skill.
